The Murcia region, nestled between Alicante and Malaga
boasts over 320 days of sunshine a year and an average annual temperature of 20
degrees. Over the years the region has remained relatively untouched, but it is
now quickly becoming the hotspot of southern Spain.
As well as investment potential, Murcia offers a mix of
breathtaking countryside, small historic towns, cosmopolitan culture and idyllic
beaches, guaranteed to appeal to everyone.
Last year, tourist numbers were up by 114% in the
Murcia region. This figure is expected to increase again this year as the boom
in the low cost airfares continues to increase.
According to the latest EU report, Murcia has the
highest economic growth of all Spanish regions last year at 2.85%, compared with
the national rate of 2.19%.
